OS1 LC to LC APC duplex cable is a single-mode fiber patch cord featuring LC connectors on both ends with an Angled Physical Contact (APC) polish. The duplex configuration includes two fiber strands, and the cable typically uses a yellow Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket

APC connectors are designed for maximum precision and return loss. Because they are polished at an 8° angle, any reflected light bounces back into the cladding rather than traveling back down the fiber toward the laser source.
  • Ideal for: High-bandwidth applications, RF video signals (CATV), passive optical networks (PON), and Data Centers where minimal back-reflection is critical. 
  • Important Compatibility: You cannot mate an APC connector directly to a UPC (flat/blue) connector. The angled ferrule will damage a flat-polished connector, leading to massive signal loss. APC connectors (typically colored green) must be mated with other APC connectors or adapters.
